Lesson-3-> Let’s Build Our Airplanes

Students, get ready to expand your aeromodelling skills! Your next project is to make 1 paper plane, 1 parachute, and 5 balsa wood chuck gliders. This is an exciting opportunity to explore different types of aero models and learn how they fly.

Making a paper plane will allow you to apply what you learned about the forces of flight and see how they work in practice. The parachute project will introduce you to the concept of drag, and you will learn how to design a model that can safely float to the ground. The balsa wood chuck gliders will provide you with hands-on experience in building and flying glider models.
