LED GLOWING CIRCUIT ON BREADBOARD

Aim of the Experiment :

LED GLOWING CIRCUIT ON BREADBOARD

Minimum Requirements :

  • 9V battery or power supply

  • Voltage Regulator (7805)

  • Switches

  • 220Ω resistor

  • LED

  • Connecting wires

Breadboard Internal Connections :

Working Principle :

Simple circuit to glow an LED with Switch. A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a p–n junction diode, which emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons.

Applications:

  • LED is used as a bulb in the homes and industries

  • The light-emitting diodes are used in motorcycles and cars

  • These are used in mobile phones to display the message

  • At the traffic light signals led’s are used.
