SOLDERMASK

SOLDERMASK– The green/red/blue (non-conducting) layer that you see on top of any PCB. It shields the entire PCB from a possible short circuit. It also makes the entire soldering process a tad easy. PCB solder resist also gives additional protection to the board, preventing it from corrosion or any harmful environmental agents.
